This Week with Lutheran Campus Ministry

"The earth is the LORD's and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it;
for he has founded it on the seas,
and established it on the rivers."  - Psalm 24:1-2

Dear Friends,
Welcome back from spring break!  And welcome to spring in Fairfax!

Worship this week will have an environmental theme as we welcome Jessica, Karin, and Marin to help us consider what small steps we can take in caring for God's creation.  Join us tonight, Wednesday, at 7:47 p.m. in Johnson Center Room F.

We also welcome Elliott Morris, Associate Director at Mar-Lu-Ridge, who will also be joining us for the evening.

Yours in Christ,
Terry

Spring Break and More!

Dear Friend,

Here's hoping that you are enjoying your Spring Break and finding some time for relaxing, re-creating, or catching up on schoolwork!  The weather here in Fairfax seems to have been ordered especially for the occasion!

This is a reminder that 747 Creative Christian Worship will not be held this week.  We'll gather together again next Wednesday, March 21, beginning at 7:47pm in JC meeting room F on 3rd floor.  Please join us next week…and plan to bring a friend!

If you're around on Sunday, March 18, you may want to join Christian singer, songwriter and speaker, Celia Whitler, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church – 5114 Twinbrook Road, Fairfax, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.  The evening will be filled with Celia's songs that I'm told "speak right to your heart" and powerful stories of her faith journey. A free will offering will be gathered to help defray Celia's travel costs. Additionally, one-third of the offering will be forwarded to Lutheran Disaster Response for all the states suffering from the recent tornadoes. We hope you will join the Lord of Life Youth and families for a faith-filled evening! For additional information, please visit Celia's website at www.celiamusic.net.
Lord of Life is less than 3 miles from the heart of campus, but if you're interested in going, yet need transportation, let me know at lutheran@gmu.edu or by phone, 703-829-0220.

Let us know if you have ideas for service projects that you'd like to take part in (or plan), social events for drawing our community together, Bible study topics you'd like to learn more about, etc.

In Christ,

Terry
