(1/20) New Bible study, 747 resumes, potluck, gamenight, and more!

Welcome back everyone! I've missed you. If you are interested, I wrote a devotion on Jonah 3 for a friend's blog that can be found at http://growingdeepingodsword.wordpress.com/

ASK ANYTHING: Wednesday 1/21 at 2:30pm in SUB II VIP 2. We're blessed to have Pastor Lisa Hufford with us for the semester. Come share an afternoon snack, and explore some of the challenges of our human hearts and the beliefs of the Christian faith. We will discuss and study together: -Our Human Nature and God's Nature -The Powers of Darkness and Fear in our World -Hope and Salvation in our Lifetime -Finding Faith and Trusting in God Come spend an hour each week exploring these topics. We will consider the ideas of various Christian thinkers, pertinent biblical passages, along with our own personal thoughts, experiences and questions. (Note: Just ask the SUB II Info Desk where the VIP rooms are if you don't know.)

747 RESUMES! 7:47pm in the JC Bistro on Wednesday 1/21. We'll be discussing Jonah and Martin Luther King, Jr. this week. We experiment with a variety of worship practices and topics. Every Wednesday at 7:47pm. More information and future locations can be found at http://GMU747.org

POTLUCK / GAME NIGHT:  Friday 1/30 from 5pm-8pm.  Bring a snack to share (if you want) and we'll hang out and play some games on the 3rd floor of the JC (tentatively in meeting room D).

SEMINARY EXCURSION: Friday 2/6 - Sunday 2/8.  Some of us will be going to the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia for a FREE weekend of fun, learning, prayer, and discernment.  If you might be interested in going, let me know ASAP and I'll get you more details.

ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK TRIP: Travel south with us for spring break as we help do God's work in the world. (More details coming very soon!) No experience necessary, as we will learn how to do whatever is needed once there. Please let us know if you are thinking of going. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=55483431536
