Holden Village (http://www.holdenvillage.org/):
Tucked in the Cascade Mountains in central Washington state, Holden Village is a unique experience. All positions come with free room and board, but you wouldn't work here for the money. (Area heads get $300/month and everyone else volunteers.) Serve for a little as three weeks and you will remember it for the rest of your life. To get more information, click on "Work at Holden" then "Short Term".

Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (http://www.elca.org/camps/):
All across the country, camps hire counselors to run their summer programs. This is very rewarding experience. To find a camp in a specific state, go to http://www.elca.org/camps/search.asp -- don't enter a city unless you know exactly what you are looking for. Go to the individual camp website for more information and to apply. The closest camp to GMU is probably Mar-Lu-Ridge in Maryland: http://www.elca.org/offsite.asp?URL=http://www.mar-lu-ridge.org
